resources on Lilith

Hi all - I do a lot of work with Lilith, both in retelling the myth to support folks in letting go of the demonization of the feminine, and with counseling clients working with issues relating to Lilith - domination, abuse, having to leave home/family, making peace with the wild feminine within, etc.

I thought I'd post some links to things in case anyone here's interested. There's some astrology here, as that's my main gig, but there's a lot of useful info for those not into it or not exposed to it.

An article on my site laying out my thoughts:

An interview (audio):

An article in the magazine of the South Africa Astrological Association, on Lilith and Lucifer as shadow archetypes we can learn to look at and live with - "Seeing In The Dark":

A handful of blog posts on Lilith: http://tdjacobs.com/blog/?cat=4

And finally, I offer an astrological natal report all about Lilith - looking at yours in your birth chart. It can be ordered via my site, http://tdjacobs.com.

current mood: happy

Hello to all! I've been studying the Lilith myth since I was about 12 (well okay at that point I was just fascinated by Her the research became my obsession later on). I am now 25. I consider myself a highly spiritual person but I don't really want to call myself a Pagan or a Wiccan, all I know is that in times of need I have drawn on the spirit of Lilith. Whether I care to call her an entity unto herself, a cultural archtype or a primordial energy within myself depends on the mood I am in and how inclined I am to logic or sheer madness that day. Anyways, long story short, I love what she represents both for historical, feminist and personal reasons. I have a few poems (some spanning back 10 years) that I have written over the years and finally decided to type out properly. Feel free to check them out on my page. Cheers and thank you for having me here :-)

Hello evereybody, Zero here also known as slaveboyzero. I got here by entering Lilith into an inetrest search. As to why well that is kind of simple. I have had a deep connection with Lilith ever since i was a child and have had a series of strange events which seem to revolve around here. So I come here seeking to understand her better. Maybe if i can these things will stop being a plague and series of attacks and become more enlightening experinces

Hi there,

For those of you that don't know my business partner and I run a pagan/wiccan store in South western sydney. We are in the process of making or first few major orders. We will be stocking the following things to name a few.

- Candles
- Wiccan/Pagan books
- Robes and ritual wear
- Tarot cards
- Stick incense
- Herbs and resins
- Jewellery
- Meditation mats

We were thinking that since we are about to order a good portion of things such as the above, we would like to hear from anyone who needs supplies so that we can get it through on our first orders and you don't have to wait until the physical shop front is open (just waiting on Council now). So please drop me message, let me know what you want and we will get it through on our first orders for you.

I notice people in this community have mentioned pagan spiritual beliefs and that there seems to be a connection between Lilith and paganism.   When I made this community, I didn't necesscarily have the topic of paganism in mind, but I find this very interesting and something I can learn.    Can someone shed some light how Lilith is seen/worshipped in paganism?

Hi there,

Ok intro thingy. Um, My name is Sara and I am 19. I have been on the scene about 2 years now, but keep mainly to myself when it comes to witchy communities. I also have a great affinity for cats considering that my totem animal is a tiger as well as with Lillith.

My first experience of being pagan was being 'tapped' by her, so really a kick in the pants. Other than that I am pretty normal. I like to read and I love movies. Not much more to say really.

Holy crap! People!   Hi! :D

So let's introduce ourselves.

I can start.

I'm a 21 year old female, attending third-year of undergrad, working for a degree in Environmental Studies.   I am also working on a Women's Studies minor.
I'd like to go on to teach, travel, and continue to live creatively.

Aside from school, I have numerous hobbies, mostly in the humanities -- I've studied astrology for nine years, am an artist, actress, and writer.   Metaphysics, world religion, spirituality, and culture also interest me.    In the summer, I work in professional music theatre.

I have a strange connection with cats, and - of course, Lilith....   there's more about me in my user info/journal, so feel free to check that out and add me if you'd like.    :)
